About us
Our story begins nearly 70 years ago in Nebraska. My Japanese mother learned to make runzas (a traditional Eastern-European stuffed bun) from her German neighbor. This traditional food quickly became a family favorite. My mother cherished the recipe and would always make them for friends and family. She taught me to make them when I was a young girl. When I decided to share these beloved recipes with the world, I knew the right name for the bakery had to be something special. The inspiration? A three-legged-rabbit named George who I had adopted when I was younger. George was no ordinary rabbit – he was a reminder that sometimes, the most unique things are the most beautiful. His energetic and loving nature inspired me. Adopting him changed my life for the better.
